BGC Ottawa provides children and youth with a safe place between the realities of home life and the pressures of school — a place of positivity and belonging where they can play, create and learn what it takes to become their best selves.
We aim to be Ottawa's leading champion of children and youth; corporations, communities and families will look to us first to understand what children and youth need to thrive today and in the future.
Are you a former Club kid, staff or volunteer? Would you like to keep in touch with BGC? Or are you interested in sharing how your Club made an impact on you?
If so, we want to hear from you!
The variety and quality of these programs are meant to be engaging, accessible for all, and contribute towards the overall development of good citizens and leaders within the community. Success is achieved through the dedication and commitment of quality staff, community partners and volunteers.
These pillars are comprehensive and encapsulate the overarching goal of social skills development to build strong and productive community members.
BGC Ottawa operates four clubhouses located throughout the city, a satellite location in Kanata and Camp Smitty, our overnight camp in Eganville.
BGC Ottawa facilities are available to businesses, community groups, associations and organizations that need temporary or long-term space. Please note, a commitment of 2 hours minimum is required when renting BGC Ottawa facilities.
Businesses, organizations, and individuals can support BGC Ottawa in many ways. Making an impact on children and youth in your community is easy when you get involved at the Club.
Through our Holiday Giving initiatives, including our Year-End Giving Campaign for Holiday Hampers and our Angel Tree Program, we ensure that those in need receive the support they deserve.
You can help thousands of children and youth in Ottawa’s most vulnerable communities reach their full potential by supporting the highest priority needs of the Club or you may choose to designate your funds to the programming pillar that has the greatest meaning for you personally. Your gift will make a significant impact in serving the needs of our community.
For 100 years, BGC Ottawa, a registered charity, has provided free programming directly to children and youth in vulnerable neighbourhoods.
