Community Services
Park Animation Community Team (PACT)
PACT delivers free, place-based children and youth programs across four park sites for the duration of the summer.
Service Overview
PACT’s objective is to provide children and youth summer programming in priority neighbourhoods where access to no-cost/and or low-cost programs and services are scarce or hardtop reach. PACT delivers free, place-based children and youth programs across four park sites for the duration of the summer. In addition to its focus on delivering barrier-free recreational programming opportunities for children and youth, PACT staff further make referrals to programs and resources that ensure access to a continuum of programs and services.
BGC Ottawa partners with local agencies to jointly provide pop-up, drop-in recreation services in parks. This year, PACT is operating at the following parks:
- Elizabeth Manley Park (1261 Blohm Drive)
- Inverness Pack (76 Inverness Avenue)
- Lakeview Public School Park (35 Corkstown Road)
- Paget Park (801 Springland Drive)
We would like to acknowledge the support of:
- SEOCHC - South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre
- PQCHC - Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre
- NROCRC - Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre
- INST - Integrated Neighbourhood Services Team

Make a DonationWe must acknowledge
BGC Ottawa acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas and we are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers Elders who are with us today, those who have gone before us and the youth that continuously inspire us in the work that we do. BGC Ottawa's mission statement is to provide safe, supportive places where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. We recognize that these values are impossible to attain without the ongoing guidance and partnerships with Indigenous peoples.
